落葉喬木，苦楝不畏潮風鹹土，為本土植物，生長快速，喜高溫，可防風、抗旱，通常用於行道樹、園景樹，台灣的高速公路兩旁都可見。
Chinaberry Tree is a deciduous tree endemic of Taiwan. It is resilient to tidal wind and soil with high salt content, grows very fast and prefers high temperature.
